CNN Travel covered the most expensive cup of coffee in the United Kingdom in September 2020: the £50 ($64) Ethiopian Cup of Excellence champion served at Queens of Mayfair, the London coffee shop opened by sisters Victoria and Grace Sheppard.
CNN credits Difference Coffee as the roaster that supplies Queens of Mayfair, and notes that it was one of only eight firms worldwide invited to bid on the record setting beans. Poured into a crystal wine glass rather than a cup, the coffee made an impression on CNN's taster: "the aroma is floral and the flavor delicate and light".
