Swiss Water Process

The Swiss Water Decaffeination Process is a chemical-free method used to remove caffeine from coffee beans while preserving their original flavour. This method involves soaking green coffee beans in hot water to dissolve the caffeine. The water, now containing the caffeine and flavor compounds, passes through a carbon filter that traps the caffeine molecules. The remaining flavour-rich water, called Green Coffee Extract (GCE), is then used to soak new batches of beans, ensuring they retain their full-bodied taste. This gentle, eco-friendly process ensures that decaffeinated coffee maintains the same quality and complexity as its caffeinated counterpart.
