THE ESSENCE

Kopi Luwak, often revered as the world's most exquisite coffee, is derived from beans digested by Asian civet cats, or luwaks. Our Wild Kopi Luwak coffee is ethically sourced and meticulously crafted at Indonesia's Wild Gayo Estate—the only certified wild Kopi Luwak producer. Here, beans are gathered from free-roaming civets, with the estate, certified by the Gayo Coffee Protection Society, prioritising animal welfare and producing the finest quality beans. The civets instinctively select the choicest cherries, which are then hand-sorted to meet the most stringent Specialty Coffee Association standards. Wild Kopi Luwak is a truly remarkable coffee that is delicate, complex, and delicious, crafted just as nature intended.
THE TASTE EXPERIENCE

THE TASTE EXPERIENCE

Full bodied coffee with gentle acidity and low bitterness. Notes of forest woods and dark cocoa beans. The White Truffle of Coffee.

Every time I taste Kopi Luwak, for me, it is a unique emotion because it is a small way to constantly return to Asia while living in Italy. I love this coffee for its notes of cedar and chocolate which makes it unique in the world. It’s coffee for people like me who are passionate about nature.

THE TERROIR

In the Gayo Highlands of Central Aceh, Sumatra, Gayo Estate's coffee thrives in an ideal microclimate. The beans grow at elevations between 1,100 to 1,500 metres above sea level, where cool mountain air and rich volcanic soil create perfect conditions for slow-maturing Arabica cherries. This high-altitude terroir, combined with the region's unique biodiversity, imparts distinct flavours to the beans. The free-roaming civets select only the finest coffee cherries as part of their natural diet, resulting in a coffee that truly embodies the essence of its origin.

SUSTAINABILITY

The Gayo Estate in Indonesia is committed to sustainable practices, ensuring that all Kopi Luwak beans are ethically sourced from wild civets. Collaborating with organisations like World Animal Protection, the estate maintains high standards of animal welfare and environmental sustainability. These measures include habitat preservation and responsible farming practices, ensuring a minimal environmental footprint, and ethical process.
