Coffee Review Awards 94 Points, Six Times Over
Six 94 point scores from the world's most influential coffee buying guide, each brewed from a Nespresso compatible capsule.
Coffee Review, the world's most influential coffee buying guide, blind tastes and scores coffees on the same 100 point scale used across the industry. It has awarded Difference Coffee capsules 94 points six times, each evaluated as a ristretto brewed from a Nespresso compatible capsule.
The Esmeralda Estate Panama Geisha has done it five times. The first review, in August 2018, assessed it as "sweetly bright, intricate, original", with notes of peach, sandalwood, lemon tart and baker's chocolate, and the Geisha repeated the score in June 2020, November 2020, August 2021 and July 2022, by which point Coffee Review called it one of the world's most distinguished Geisha variety coffees offered in a Nespresso compatible format. The Cup of Excellence Rwanda Champion added the sixth 94 in August 2019, chocolate forward with lemon zest, and described as an exceptional example of a great Central African coffee in capsule form. A further review, of the Brazil Cup of Excellence Prize Winner, scored 92 in August 2018.
At the time of the first review, 94 was the highest score Coffee Review had given any Nespresso compatible capsule.
