THE TERROIR

In the cloudy rainforest of Volcan Baru National Park, Elida Estate benefits from a unique microclimate that contributes to its exceptional coffee production. The rich volcanic soils provide essential nutrients, while cool overnight temperatures and seasonal mist create ideal growing conditions. This combination of factors, along with high elevation, results in slow-ripening cherries that develop complex flavours and aromas, making Elida's coffees truly distinctive and highly sought-after by connoisseurs worldwide.

SUSTAINABILITY

Elida Estate’s coffee thrives in a protected forest reserve within a World Heritage site, preserving the rainforest and its inhabitants, including native plants, birds, and even a tropical tiger. Utilising only 35 hectares for cultivating Catuai, Geisha, and Typica, their eco-friendly processes reflect a commitment to minimal environmental impact.
