Asharq Al-Awsat on the Best Coffees in a Capsule

The London-based Arabic daily tells the story of a founder who didn't drink coffee, and the capsules he went on to create.

Asharq Al-Awsat, the London-based international Arabic daily, featured Difference Coffee on its Tastes page on 12 November 2017, under the headline "The best coffees in a capsule" and the subheading "A story that began with its founder's dislike of coffee".

The piece tells the origin story: Amir Gehl did not drink coffee until his wife's Nespresso habit set him wondering why the finest coffees could not be found in a capsule, which led to 18 months spent visiting some of the world's most important coffee farms. Interviewed by the paper, Amir explains that only around one coffee in a hundred earns the Specialty grade, and that Difference Coffee capsules contain only that top 1%, all 100% Arabica.
