Euronews on Building the Best Terroir-Led Coffee Collection

Euronews meets Amir Gehl, the London entrepreneur curating the ultimate terroir-led coffee collection.

Euronews interviewed Difference Coffee founder Amir Gehl in April 2018, in a feature by Ines Fressynet titled "Building the best 'terroir-led coffee collection' in the world".

The interview, recorded at 67 Pall Mall, tells how coffee happened in Amir's life by accident. A tea and wine drinker who found coffee bitter, he started experimenting with capsules after his wife bought an espresso machine, and realised a fresh capsule could taste better than the coffee served in many fine restaurants. Because capsules keep ground coffee airtight, they hold it at peak freshness from the moment of roasting. The piece names the collection's pillars, Kona from Hawaii (his personal favourite), Blue Mountain from Jamaica, Geisha from Panama and Kopi Luwak from Indonesia, and lists clients including La Dame de Pic at the Four Seasons, Harry's Bar and Mark's Club in Mayfair.
