DIFFERENCE AMARETTO SOUR RECIPE

This month, let’s celebrate the sweet, almond-flavoured Italian liqueur with origins dating all the way back to the 16th century. Amaretto is often paired with coffee, so we asked our good friend Dan Fellows, two-time Coffee in Good Spirits World Champion, to create Difference Amaretto Sour, a new amaretto cocktail recipe showcasing those two key ingredients.

Try this combination of Difference Kopi Luwak with Amaretto and lime. A perfect combination of acidic, sweet, and bitter with a creamy texture.

INGREDIENTS

1 capsule of Wild Kopi Luwak
30ml amaretto
10ml lime juice
5ml cherry liqueur

METHOD

  1. Brew Indonesia Kopi Luwak capsule.
  2. Add to cocktail shaker (or flask / jar) with amaretto, lime juice and ice.
  3. Shake hard and fine strain over ice into frozen rocks glass
  4. Garnish with flaked almonds or cocktail cherry.

Dan Fellows shares our love of amazing coffee, which he uses as the star ingredient in his remarkable, original cocktail recipes. Those creations, plus a showman-like combination of barista and bartending skills, led to Dan winning the World Coffee in Good Spirits Championship in 2018 and 2019. He previously worked as a barista, a barista trainer, and on the wholesale side of the coffee business, and regularly runs barista masterclasses.
